Week 10: State, National & International Exemplars of Contemporary Practice

On a National level, the National Safe Schools Framework focuses upon the prevention of bullying, violence, child abuse and neglect.

MACER: the “code” of school behaviour has the purpose of providing certainty and consistency in standards for behaviour and defining the rights and responsibilities. It outlines the consequences for unacceptable behaviour, values and principles and parents or carers sign it to show they have read it.
 

Responsible Behaviour Plan for Students

This is the means by which schools implement the codes of responsible school behaviour. It includes state-wide standards of behaviour, guidelines for consequences, a process for encouraging acceptable behaviour, strategies for managing unacceptable behaviour and is developed by the school community.
